Interview - Liberate 
-Liberate began in October or November 2007. At that time we were Mario, Gautier, David, Abraham, Alexander and Daniel. We had no idea of \u200b\u200bwhat we wanted to play, so we only got together hoping to express our ideas from the lyrics and music. On March 9, 2008 we had our first appearance in the event of the Collective Consciousness Active and within months, after a few local performances and without Alexander and in the band were invited to a tour of Mexico with Blind I Ever . Ending this tour we recorded our first material "Real Solution" that meets our first 5 songs but not necessarily the style of music that eventually would decide to have, but good memory of what were our origins. We made several appearances outside of our city with friendly bands like It's Now, Strong Belief and once I was blind and in January 2009 we made a short tour with the band Inner Strength and glory of Merida, Yucatan. Other than that, 2009 was a year in which we work to solidify our sound, more oriented towards the hardcore of the mid-90's, with a strong musical inspiration from bands like Trial, Chokehold and Culture, and ideological inspiration of Eduardo Galeano , Alejandro Jodorowsky and Erich Fromm to say some (but ultimately we all have different sources of inspiration) in September and October we recorded our new material which we hope will be out soon and will be called Sentipensante, after the term used in Colombia for people to maintain an equilibrium thinking and feeling, who speaks what he feels and thinks what he sees. xliberatex mean for the word "Scene", in my opinion each is Showbiz in scale, there will always be people who wish to own it or be in your name. What do you think of this?
"It all depends, I think, to how to perform this term: it is very different from a scene in which shares and celebrates the difference between people, in which conviviality and entertainment go hand in hand with learning and the search for an improvement in the same community, in which all the people involved are so important above and below the stage and participate equitably in order to achieve goals that are needed (look for places where to events, broadcast a message, support foreign bands, etc), this is very different from what has been established recently as a scene, which is a select group of people looking a certain way have a common understanding where different or contrary thoughts are fought, and where the search for a unit creates the elitism that removes the renewal of ideas and then grow in a place where the ideas and trends are few and are cycled, where previously the "new" scare the "new" and that after a few years, those years of "rebellion" or involvement in the "scene" goes without sense for the same act that responds to the same trend of many years ago.
Despite being a band obviously tilted toward the hardcore, we have had the opportunity to play in front of scenes from other types of music, shared the stage with a large variety fortunately bands and styles and have come to the conclusion that it is absurd to the fact defend the hardcore style as a "not shared", and so does the other "scenes" of crust, ska, punk, metal, etc..
What is your opinion on the approach of straight edge in the religious, see it as a period of decay of the initial roots?
"At no time Straight Edge was established as a movement, and therefore much less had a list of laws or rules to follow. They are just three principles which can carry out or not as you feel is right, with that said, the Straight Edge pool with a religion does not seem at all evil or decadent, as we have known people Krishna or Straight Edge Christian who greatly respect and who We learned a lot. However, Liberate is a band that talks openly about the harm organized religion in which dogmatizes spirituality, in which, as governments and corporations-are handled the wishes of those who believe in them and is handled speculation and fear to bring the person who does not understand you do not need a god or spirit than to be good people, or decide to avoid the search for answers to leave them all at something watching us from above. We strongly believe that spirituality need not be deified as a part of everyone living on this earth.

"We are all part of the Collective Consciousness Active in different rhythms and different ways. Mainly organized protests Animal and Human Liberation, like veganism offered talks in different parts of the city and country, are part of the organization of events in which they gave lectures and workshops on gender equivalence, veganism, etc. . We also had an internet radio station which was broadcast in Argentina by Animal Liberation Radio, which still survives a program called "Beautiful Lies, Truths Unfair." Unfortunately the group had a crack in 2009, but we're going to start the activities, as different projects are focusing on street art and street music, which can be realized this year.
How to maintain a spirit of positive living in bad times. when we feel that everything is upon us? Moments that many of us give up in adversity, how to react to the pressure of such moments from their point of view ...
"I think one of the mistakes of hardcore positivism is to offer an alternative to the situation world. We can not be positive when we see everything that happens in the world and how our resources run out, how governments play with people as if they were not vegan value indigenous poor vegan, vegan ancianxs, women, niñxs vegan, vegan youth. consider as a means of protest to the traditional established order. from the way in which people are educated to the moral duty, institutional and religious?
"We definitely see the Straight Edge as a protest against the social and behavioral model which seeks to control the masses through inaction in the legal and illegal drugs and the objectification of sexuality. As mentioned in previous answers, imposing moral, religious institutions and cause tightness in the harmonious development of being and that freedom is limited to the ability to accept the circumstances as good or bad way. We do not think that's freedom, and that is why we reject that life offered, and how to bring a consistency in what we live and we also know that is not an absolute SxE in any way although it allows the development of qualities that would otherwise be undiscovered or under-exploited.
